Trinity Laban
Trinity Laban is a conservatoire for music and dance, formed in 2005 from the merger of Trinity College of Music and the Laban school of dance.
It is based in Greenwich, south-east London; Trinity occupies the King Charles Court at the Old Royal Naval College, while Laban is based on the west of Greenwich, nearer Deptford.
At Trinity, undergraduates may take a two-year foundation degree in musical theatre, or a four-year BMus in performance (with or without jazz studies) or Indian music; there are also individualised programmes of study. At Laban, the undergraduate programme is a three-year BA in dance theatre. |
Fees
£3,070 a year for UK/EU full-time undergraduates.
Bursaries
Trinity Laban offers a bursary equal to 25% of the maintenance grant received, to a minimum of £50 (if students receive any state support). There is also a range of valuable music scholarships for undergraduates.
Accommodation
Most new students can be housed at the privately run McMillan Student Village. Prices in 2006-07 ranged from £135 to £173 a week, based on a 40-week contract (slightly less each week for a 51-week contract); while rooms in the private sector can cost £80 to £130 a week plus bills.
