University College London
|
UCL is large, busy, international, with a global reputation and a not insignificant sense of its own importance - very much like the city in which it sits. It is consistently ranked among the best universities in the country and, indeed, the world. Its alumni include Gandhi, Alexander Graham Bell and, of course, Coldplay. The majority of its buildings are gathered around the impressive Octagon, topped by the famous dome, in Bloomsbury. It's an area famous for its literary and educational heritage and could hardly be more convenient for almost anything you care to think of - the West End, Covent Garden, Euston, King's Cross, and Regent's Park are all within a few minutes' walk. |
