University of Greenwich
There aren't many universities that can boast a World Heritage Site, but this is one of them. The campus is on the banks of the Thames in three baroque buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren at the end of the 17th century. Other sites are Avery Hill, in an 86 acre park in Eltham, southeast London, and Medway, another charming campus full of Edwardian redbrick and ivy, near Chatham's historic dockyard. As a result, the 24,000 students are spread between city and more rural locations, though all are part of an institution that is proud of its diversity and committed to widening participation.
