University of Portsmouth
|
Portsmouth is based on two sites: the Langstone campus is on the eastern edge of Portsea Island, and the Guildhall is the name given to the grouping of university buildings in the city centre. Portsmouth is compact and easy to navigate, and the seaside location is a real plus. The student union is award-winning, and there are good opportunities for part-time and vacation work, not to mention an active careers service. Facilities are good, and include a state-of-the-art newsroom for the journalism course and the new Expert centre, equipped with computerised mannequins that breathe, bleed and react to drugs (for people on health courses, not just for fun). |
