University of Winchester

Winchester is a fairly small university, with around 3,000 full-time students and a similar number on part-time courses, which makes for a friendly, informal environment where students are free to develop as individuals. Its long history as a teacher training college means that education is a still a focus, but there's a wide range of other degrees on offer, too. Winchester is a lovely cathedral city with a refined atmosphere, excellent shopping and great pubs and green spaces. There's another campus in Basingstoke - similarly well-equipped, but lacking the cathedral. New £10m student facilities are due to open on the Winchester campus. |

Fees
£3,070 for full-time undergraduate courses in 2007-08.
Bursaries
All UK and EU full-time students are eligible for £205 in their first year, £310 for the second, and £410 for the third and (where applicable) fourth years. Students entitled to a full grant are also entitled to a bursary of £820 while those on less than a full grant receive £410. Further awards and scholarships are available.
Accommodation
On-campus accommodation guaranteed to all first-year full-time undergraduates who hold Winchester as their firm choice and apply before the deadline. Every effort is made to house students with insurance offers and those who apply through Clearing. Costs range from £75 to £97 a week.
