Graduate and Master programs' Admission at University of Management and Technology (UMT)

Undergraduate Program (BS -Honors)

Entrance requirement
  • Intermediate or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
  • Provisional certificate from the head of the institution in case result is awaited.
  • A copy of Roll No. Slip and Provisional Certificate from a Gazetted Officer in case of a private candidate.
  • Equivalence certificate from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in case of foreign applicants.
  • Valid Student Visa in case the applicant is a foreign national.

Admission Criteria
All applications are evaluated on the basis of merit as determined by the applicant's previous academic record and performance in the Admission Test according to the following weightage criteria.
  • Matriculation marks 25%
  • Intermediate marks 25%
  • UMT Admission Test 50%

Admission test
In order to prepare for the UMT Admission Test (English & Math) that comprises of qualitative and quantitative sections and will be of two and half-hours duration. The candidates may practice exercises from SAT-I books.

Master Programs

Entrance Requirement
  • Recognized graduation with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
  • Work experience of minimum two years.
  • Equivalence certificate from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, in case of foreign applicants.
  • Valid Student Visa in case the applicant is a foreign national.
  • Master degree holders and professional graduates can apply without work experience.

Admission Criteria for MBA (Executive)
All applications are evaluated on the basis of merit as determined by the applicant's previous academic record and performance in the interview according to the following weightage criteria;
  • Matriculation marks 15%
  • Intermediate marks 15%
  • Graduation marks 20%
  • Interview 30%
  • Work experience 20%
Additional five points are awarded to all master degree holders.

Admission Criteria for MS (Banking and Finance)
All applications are evaluated on the basis of merit as determined by the applicant's previous academic record and performance in the Admission Test according to the following weightage criteria
  • Matriculation marks 15%
  • Intermediate marks 15%
  • Graduation marks 30%
  • UMT Admission Test 40%

Additional five points are awarded to all master degree holders.

Admission Criteria for MBA (Professional)
All applications are evaluated on the basis of merit as determined by the applicant's previous academic record and performance in the Admission Test according to the following weightage criteria
  • Matriculation marks 15%
  • Intermediate marks 15%
  • Graduation marks 15%
  • UMT Admission Test 40%
  • Interview 15%
Additional five points are awarded to all master degree holders.
