Admission for Undergraduate and Graduate programs at Iqra University
AMI (Asian Management Institute) is a constituent of Iqra University - duly chartered by the Government of Sindh and courses recognized by UGC.

Admission to AMI Graduate and Master level degree programmes are announced before the beginning of each of the three terms starting in January, May, and September of each year.

Eligibility
  • For Bachelor's Degree Programmes:
    Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent with minimum Second Division.
  • For Master Degree Programme:Bachelors Degree with minimum Second Division. Computer Diploma / proven computer background for MS (CS) prefered.
  • For Executive MBA Degree Programme:
    Bachelor Degree (Second Division) and three years managerial/supervisory experience.

Eligibility For Overseas Students
The overseas applicants should take the test well in time to meet the deadline set by the Institute to receive the original/attested copies of the SAT and TOEFL score. Applicants seeking admission to their desired Programme, for any upcoming session are required to take the TOEFL, SAT I and ONE the following SAT II Subject Tests:
  • Math Level IIC
  • Writing
  • Physics
  • Literature
  • World History

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT):
SAT I This is a three-hour test, primarily multiple-choice, that measures verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities.
SAT II Subject Tests are one-hour, multiple-choice tests that measure your knowledge of particular subjects and your ability to apply that knowledge.

TOEFL:
Special English course, open to all graduate students, it is highly recommended for all graduate students. This course helps students prepare effective thesis proposals and theses.

Required Score:
The code of AMI for receiving the SAT scores is 0513. SAT taken before May, 1999 will not be considered valid. Only results received directly from the College Board, SAT Programme will be accepted. A score of 520 on the TOEFL examination and of 4.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) are considered to be a minimum for entry into the institute.

Admission with Advance Standing
Students from other recognized institutions, colleges and universities, with advance standing, may transfer their previous credits. Credit will only be granted for courses whose contents are equivalent to courses that are part of the AMI degree programme. To be acceptable for transfer of credits towards AMI courses, these courses must have been followed as part of a formal programme leading to a degree. The AMI reserves the right to accept or refuse the grant of advance standing depending upon the student's record.

Credit Transfer Policy
The credit transfer policy followed by AMI is as under :
  • AMI allows transfer of credit from recognized institutions of Pakistan and abroad.
  • Credit transfers are allowed only if the previous course matches AMI requirements of a particular subject.
  • All grades comparable to AMI scheme of grading (only grades A and B) are directly transferable.
  • For transfer of Grade 'C' a student has to appear and clear the test.
  • All transfer students must complete at least 08 courses at AMI to become eligible for award of degree from Iqra University.
