Admission for Undergraduate and Graduate programs at Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST)

Requirement for undergraduate program
For admission to BBA /BS programs, the candidate must have completed A-Levels (minimum 3 pass) / Intermediate (minimum 60% marks & no supplementary) or equivalent from a recognized institution at the time of appearing for the interview. Candidates with mathematical background will be preferred for BS program. An Admission Test and Interview will be given to all candidates.

Requirement for graduate program
For admission to MBA / MCS (Software Engineering) programs, the candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 55% marks from a recognized university by UGC in any field of study. For a MBA evening program, preference will be given to applicants having sixteen years of prior education and management / computer experience. Candidate for MCS program must also have computer and mathematical background. An Admission Test and Interview will be given to all candidates.

For admission to the Ph.D Program
  • MS degree from SZABIST may be admitted into the Ph.D. degree program with the approval of the Graduate Committee.
  • MS/ MCS/ M.Phil (with minimum 5 years of formal university education) from a recognized university may apply for direct admission into the Ph.D program. For acceptance into the Ph.D. program, the applicant must pass an Admission Test/Interview with the SZABIST Graduate Committee.
  • After acceptance into the Ph.D program, a Doctoral Committee consisting of the Major Advisor and two Committee Members will be constituted by the MS/Ph.D Coordinator for the student. The Doctorial Commitee, including the Major Advisor, can be changed by the MS/Ph.D Coordinator at any time subject to their unavailability and other unforeseen events.


Fee Structure
Admission Fee for BBA/BS/MBA/MCS/MS/Ph.D
Rs. 15,000 (Pakistan nationals) / $500 (Foreign nationals)
Admission Fee is payable once at the beginning of study and is non-refundable.
Security Deposit Payable after acceptance by SZABIST (refundable): Rs 3,000 / $100 (Foreign nationals).

Tuition Fee for BBA/BS
Rs. 47,250 per semester for Pakistani nationals; $900 per semester for foreign nationals. The tuition fee is based on a full course load (six courses) per semester.

Tuition Fee for MBA (Day)
Rs. 54,900 per semester for MBA day for Pakistani nationals; $1,260 per semester for foreign nationals. The tuition fee is based on a full course load (six courses) per semester.

Tuition Fee for MBA/MCS (Eve)
Rs. 45,750 per semester for Pakistani nationals; $1050 per semester for foreign nationals. The tuition fee is based on a full course load (five courses) per semester.

Tuition Fee is charged on the actual number of credit hours taken and must be paid at the beginning of each semester. SZABIST reserves the right to change the tuition fee for new and continuing students without prior notice. All other financial rules, as outlined in the SZABIST prospectus and handbook and as announced from time to time, will be applicable to all students.
