Bachelor and Master degree programs' Admission at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET)

Admission requirement for BS Program
For BS in Computer Science the minimum academic qualification is HSC/Intermediate (Pre Engineering) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Computer Science and Mathematics) or equivalent (to be decided by SSUET) with fifty five percent aggregate marks (including 20 marks for NCC training and 20 marks for Hafiz-e-Quran) OR DAE Electronics, Computer, Electrical or Mechanical with sixty percent aggregate marks.

Equivalence Criteria of Foreign Examinations
For the purpose of determining merit, the candidates having passed Cambridge High School Certificate Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Principal level or the General Certificate of Education (A Level) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Admission requirement for MS Program
a) Computer Engineering with Specialization in Computer Networking
Four year bachelor degree from a recognized University in first division in Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent.

b) Computer Engineering with Specialization in Software Engineering
Four year bachelor degree from a recognized University in first division in Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent.

Admission Test / Interview for BS Program
An Admission Test will be conducted equivalent to the standard of Intermediate Science (HSC), Examination. Different weightages are assigned to these selection criteria as detailed below:
  • Matriculation (SSC) Marks --- 10%
  • Intermediate (HSC) Marks --- 30%
  • Admission Test & Interview --- 60%
The candidates shall be required to appear before an interview committee for final selection. The schedule of interviews shall be displayed on the Notice Board of the University.
