ADMISSION
Admission is normally in the lower two Forms of the Junior School at the ages of 5 and 6 years. The tests occur in the last week of June and first week of July.

ADMISSION TO K-I
It is for Boys who will be "five years" old at the year of admission. Boys seeking admission to K-1 are committed to remain as Boarders for eight years. Boys living in Lahore or near Lahore should not apply. (If the parents live nearby, it is not fair that the boy is unnecessarily separated from his home). Withdrawal from the Boarding House will mean withdrawal from the College.

Admission to K-2
It is for Boys who will be "six years" old at the year of admission. Candidates will be tested in English, Urdu, and Maths.

CLASS K-3 TO C-2
The number of places offered varies in each class and is very few in any case. The boy will be tested according to his age group. The applicant must achieve the rank within the number of vacancies; i.e. in a class if there are four places offered the applicant must achieve a rank within the top four. Candidates will be tested in English, Urdu & Mathematics (for Class K-2 to K-5) and English, Urdu, Mathematics & Science for Class E-1 to C-2.

All applicants have to qualify the appropriate Aitchison Entrance Test (AET) and must attain the relevant number of points. The AET consists of a series of exercises measuring the applicants intelligence and ability, potential, attainments in language and number, and skills of the eye and ear.

Once the applicants has attained the standard set in the paper exercises, additional points are added for his social skills, previous school record and his direct ascendants’ performance at Aitchison College. Parents are expected to attend interviews before a final offer is made for a place in the College.

Lobbying, attempting to use influence or resorting to unfair means during the tests will disqualify the applicant.

ADMISSION TO ‘A’ LEVEL FOR AITCHISONIANS
Candidate must not be more then "16 year" old at the time of admission. Once a boy appears for the ‘O’ Level examination, he is automatically withdrawn from the College. His return to the College is determined by the academic standard required for readmission and his record of past behaviour. Re-admission criteria for A Level may be issued at the discretion of the College.

EXTERNAL CANDIDATES – ADMISSION TO ‘A’ LEVEL
The Board of Governors has authorized the Principal to set the criteria for admission to ‘A’ Level classes for external candidates based on their academic performance, ‘O’ level results, age, discipline and assessing their ability to benefit for a ‘A’ Level course in the College and also evaluating the number of places that can be offered each year.

ADMISSION TO INTERMEDIATE CLASSES
As per decision of the Board of Governors no external candidate will be admitted to Intermediate classes.
