Entry requirement or Admission Details at Cadet College, Murree

Admission Procedure
Admission is subject to qualify entry test followed by an interview as per the procedure given below:
  • Admission is open to the candidates from all parts of Pakistan and Abroad.
  • Admission is normally made at the beginning of the academic years.
  • Number of Cadets to be to be admitted depends entirely on the number of vacancies available in each class.
  • Admission is allowed in all classes from II to XI on the basis of written test and interview.
  • Only prescribed application forms (attached with prospectus) are used for seeking admission.
  • Prospectus and prescribed registration forms can be obtained from College office at Kashmir Point Murree or the Admission Office Islamabad on payment as under:-
      1. By Hand : Rs.250/- in cash OR
      2. Through bank draft : Rs.350/- in favour of Principal Cadet College Murree.
  • Entry tests are held on requisite academic standard of the class for which admission is sought.
  • Centers for entry tests are announced by College Authorities which are normally in all capital cities of Provinces of Pakistan.
  • Candidates must be in good mental and physical health. Medical examination for those applicants who qualify in the entry test and interview is compulsory before the final admission.
  • Medial examination will be arranged by the college through a Qualified Medical Officer Ex. Pak Army. Medical Examination Charges i.e. Rs:500/- per Cadet will be included in the admission fee for such cases.
  • Call Letter is issued to successful candidates giving exact date and time to join the college
  • Selection is made on the basis of merit. However, results are kept confidential. Only selected Candidates will be informed by post.
  • Exact date, time and place of examination are communicated in writing to the Candidates.
  • Examination will be held at the following centers,
      (1) RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD.
      (2) LAHORE 
      (3) KARACHI.
      (4) QUETTA.
      (5) PESHAWER
ADMISSION TEST
Admission Test will be of 3 hours duration and will include English, Urdu, Math and General Science and General Knowledge.

ADMISSION TO INTERMEDIATE CLASSES
Promotion from Secondary to Intermediate classes is not automatic. Students who appear in the Secondary School Certificate Examination will have to acquire at least 60% marks in the matriculation exam with their overall satisfactory conduct. 
A limited number of vacancies for boys from outside are generally available for admission to the first and second year classes. About a fortnight before the declaration of the result of the Boards, the advertisement is given in the leading newspapers for admission to 1st year and 2nd year. The interested candidates fulfilling the requirement of the College are called for written test in Urdu, English and Mathematics. They are also interviewed. In this way, merit list is prepared and all letters are issued to the candidates on the basis of overall merit, according to the number of seats available.


Note: In case it is not feasible to hold the entrance examination and interview at any of the centers mentioned above, the candidates of that center will be asked to appear at another nearest center. Candidates can also request for the change of centers if desired.

Eligibility
For admission to any class, a candidate must either be studying in that class or must have passed the last lower class at the time of admission. Age limits as on 1st April of the year of the admission are as under:
