Admission Information
The regular point of entry in the College is in Class VIII/GCE 'O' Level. However, a few openings arise in the 1st Year/'A' Level Class in case some of students leave the College for some reason.


Class VIII / 'O' Level
Admission in this College is done only once in a year in Class VIII/GCE 'O' Level. Applications are invited before 15th November every year.

Eligibility
Conditions of eligibility for admission are as under:
  1. AGE: The candidate must not be over 14 and under 12 years of age on 1st April of the year of Entry. No relaxation of age, even a single day, is permissible.
  2. EDUCATIONAL STANDARD: The candidate must have passed Class-7 or equivalent by March of the year of Entry.

Written Test
An open competitive examination comprising three papers (Mathematics, English and Urdu-Islamiyat) is held in the month of December/January every year. The paper will be of 1 hours duration. Mathematics Paper may be taken either in Urdu or in English. Mathematics paper is different for Matriculation Course and GCE 'O' Level Course.
  • Urdu Islamiyat Paper is compulsory, and no alternative subject is allowed. The candidates from overseas countries must qualify in this paper. However, the non-Muslim candidates may leave out the Islamiyat part of the Paper.
  • The syllabi for the Admission Test are given at Appendix 'A' in the Prospectus. The Entrance Test for the College is a competitive examination. The syllabi given in the Prospectus are meant for the general guidance of the candidates and any question considered suitable can be set in any Paper in any form.


Interviews and Medical Examination
The candidates who qualify in the Written Examination are required to appear for Interview and Medical Examination at the centres given below. Candidates at Riyadh and Sharjah Centres are interviewed on the next day after the written test. Their medical examination is done at the College before joining. Only those candidates who are found medically fit will be considered for the admission. Places are offered on the results of the tests/interview in the order of merit. The results are strictly confidential, and no correspondence shall be entertained in this connection.

First Year
  • The point of entry in this College is Class VIII only, however, a few vacancies occur in the Class XI in case some of our students leave the College after Matriculation for private reasons. These vacancies are filled on the basis of the result of written examination, interview and medical test.
  • Choice of Course in the Intermediate classes: Pre-engineering/Pre-medical groups only. Subjects of Arts/Humanities Group are not taught in the College Classes.
  • Eligibility.
        Only those candidates who obtain 680 marks (Grade A-I) or more in the Board Matriculation Examination (or equivalent) are eligible to appear in the written examination.
  • Written Examination: The Written Examination comprising following four papers based on Matriculation syllabus is scheduled to be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday,  19th July, 2003 at Cadet College, Hasan Abdal:

    (a) English : 1 hour 30 minutes
    (b) Mathematics or Biology : 1 hour 30 minutes
    (c) Chemistry & Physics : 2 hours
  • Interview & Medical Examination: Those who qualify the Written Examination shall be interviewed on 24th and 25th July, 2003. Medical Examination will be conducted before interviews on the same day.
  • Prospectus: Our College Prospectus contains the Application Form and gives detailed information about this institution. It can be obtained from College office by hand on cash payment of Rs.300/- and by post Rs.350/- (for foreign post Rs.400/-) through a crossed bank draft in favour of Principal, Cadet College, Hasan Abdal.

Fee Structure
Fee includes tuition fee, electricity charges, medical fund, hostel and mess services fund, messing, etc are as follows :
Juniors Class VIII, IX and X = Rs. 73,400/- per annum.

Senior
First Year Class = Rs. 65,200/- per annum
Second Year Class = Rs. 86,600/- per annum

GCE 'O' Level (8th, 9th) = Rs. 81,200/- per annum
GCE 'O' Level (10th) = Rs. 95,900/- per annum

Admission Fee
  • A sum of Rs. 2000/- is charged on account of Admission Fee from new entrants of 8th and 1st year classes.
  • Fees once paid are not refundable and the manner of their spending is not accounted for to the parents.
  • The following funds will be charged only once at the time of admission.
    Building Fund    : Rs. 10,000/-
    Education Fund : Rs.500/-

Late Payment of Fees
  • If dues are not received within due date, the cadets will be fined @ Rs.10/- per day for the    first ten days and Rs.100/- per day for the next 10 days. Thereafter they are liable to be withdrawn from the college.
  • Re-admission if approved will be made on payment of Rs. 1000/- in addition to the fine.

Additionally following extra-items are charged to the cadets and accountable to parents according to the purchases and the payments made:
  • Security Deposit of Rs.4000/- on admission. (Refundable on leaving the College).
  • Clothing and Footwear (All items of clothing and footwear required by a cadet are supplied by    the College).
  • Books and Stationery (Requirements are issued by the College).
  • Pocket Money: Rs.50/- per week for a senior and Rs.25/- per week for a junior.
  • Riding Club, Movie Club and Tennis Club.
  • Miscellaneous (Travelling Expenses, Board registration and Board Examination Fees, Photographs, College Magazine, etc.
