PSF demands action against IJT
LAHORE, April 17(Daily Times): The People's Students Federation (PSF) at a meeting on
Monday demanded the Punjab University (PU) administration take stern action
against the Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) for beating up students and sabotaging
the festival of the PU Pharmacy College 'in the name of Islam'. According to a
press statement, a large number of students from across the province attended
the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, PSF leader Zohaib Butt said if the IJT
did not stop its activities, the PSF would be forced to 'act' against it. PSF
leader Rana Sultan Mahmood said that if free and fair elections held for student
unions, the IJT would be defeated at all education institutions.
