Rawalpindi SSC Part-I examination result 2012

Rawalpindi, Aug 03: Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will announce the result of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) part-I (ninth class) on August 15.

According to Education Board Rawalpindi spokesman Irslan Cheema, the Matric supplementary examinations will start from Sept 25.

The forms for the Matric supplementary exams can be submitted with single fee till August 15 while the forms with double fee will be submitted till August 23 and with triple fee August 30 will be the last date. He said so far there is no final date for the results of intermediate part I and II examinations while the dates in this connection will be announced within next few days.

Urdu University extends admission date to Aug 15
Islamabad: The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Islamabad Campus, has extended the admission date to August 15.

Candidates could get prospectuses from the campus. The university is offering courses of MA, MPhil, PhD Urdu, MBA, BBA, M.Com, MBE Business and BS, MS Computer Science, Applied Physics, MSc Economics and Electrical Engineering. Admission forms are also available on the university website.

Meanwhile, in-charge of the campus Professor Dr. Zahid Saleem has announced 50% concession in tuition fee of MA Urdu in all semesters.

Urdu-Russian dictionary launched
Islamabad: The launching ceremony of Urdu-Russian Dictionary was jointly organised by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences and National Language Authority, says a press release.

Tashmirza Khalmirzaev compiled the dictionary. Diplomats of former Soviet states and well-known personalities from different spheres of life attended the ceremony. Dr. Anwaar Ahmed and other officers of NLA and PAS warmly received the guests at the entry of the hall. Dr. A Q Khan was the guest of honour on the occasion.

The ceremony began with the opening speech of Dr. Najeeb Jamal who heartedly congratulated Tashmirza Khalmirzaev on this great achievement. Dr Najeeb said that the Urdu-Russian Dictionary is a great job performed by Tashmirza Khalmirzaev and the struggle for similar work will continue.

Dr. A Q Khan appreciated the job done by Tashmirza Khalmirzaev. He revealed that he knows Tashmirza Khalmirzaev for 30 years and met him in the embassy on his return from abroad.

He also threw light on his relations with scientists of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and his journey to different cities of these beautiful countries. He also discussed difficulties Tashmirza Khalmirzaev faced during the compilation of the dictionary and appreciated his determination and enthusiasm.

Aslam Azhar and Anwaar Nasim also congratulated Tashmirza Khalmirzaev and appreciated his efforts and the great job he performed.

Later, Iftikhar Ali, general secretary of the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia & Commonwealth of Independent States, presented a bouquet to the chief guest, Dr. A Q Khan.

CRI donates 500 books to Pakistan National Library
Islamabad: The Confucius Class Room of China Radio International (CRI) has donated five hundred books to Pakistan National Library.

According to a private news channel, these books have been placed in the Chinese corner of the Library. It may be recalled that China Radio International established Confucius
