IIUI offers free technical education

ISLAMABAD, Aug 21: The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has designed 10 technical courses for unemployed youth that will be taught free of cost. The courses will be taught at IIUI's Iqra Centre for Technical Education (ICTE), in coordination with the National Vocational and Technical Education Commission (Navtec). The courses are offered free of cost and the selected candidates will receive a Rs1,000 per month scholarship per month as well. However, the students would have to pay for their own transportation and accommodation.

The technical education courses being offered are of three- month duration. These include office automation and management, autocad, domestic electrician, plumbing, welding, turner mechanist, auto mechanic, auto electrician, motor winding, refrigeration and air-conditioning. APP
