The meeting, while unanimously endorsing the recommendations of the committee, finalised the objectives of the centre, including research on Shah Latif jo Raag and Sufi music of Sindh, collection and preservation of different types of music instruments used in Sindh and research on the instruments and vocalists including folk singers.

The meeting unanimously decided to appointment an executive committee, to be headed by Dr Baloch, to run the centre. It constituted a five- member committee to draft certificate and diploma courses to be offered by the centre and prepare a report about the possibility of introduction of music as an optional subject with the degree programme in the Arts faculty.
