PU teachers get laptops for research work
Lahore, July 09, 2008: A special ceremony was held at the Punjab University Institute of
Biochemistry and Biotechnology (IBB), New Campus, on Tuesday to distribute
laptops to senior faculty members of the university for their research work.
According to a press statement, PU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid
Kamran was the chief guest on the occasion. Those who received laptops included
Azhar Ikram of IBA, Dr Nayyar Raza Zaidi of IBIT, Dr Muhammad Riaz, Dr Bashir
Ahmad and Dr Syed Saeed ul Hassan of Pharmacy College, Dr Zafar Iqbal Jadoon and
Dr Mrs Nasira Jabeen of IAS, Dr Ahmad Saeed Akhtar of Statistics Department, Dr
Mughees ud Din Sheikh of ICS, Dr Zahoor ul Hassan, Dr Arshad Chughtai, Dr
Muhammad Ali and Dr Rafiq Ahmad of Institute of Chemical Engineering and
Technology, Dr Muhammad Taqi Zahid of College of Engineering and Emerging
Technology, Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik, director general of Gujranwala Campus, Dr
Nadeem Nawazish of Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Dr Tanvir Akthar

Noori of Urdu Department, Dr Muhammad Hafeez of Sociology Department, Dr S

Muhammad Azhar Iqbal of Physics Department and Dr Firdaus-e-Bareen of Botany
Department. The PU has distributed the computers to the teachers on the
seniority basis while the former administration had given laptops to the
teachers randomly, the statement concluded.

PU announced MA, MFA, BSc, MPhil results
Lahore: The Punjab University Examination Department has announced the results of MA Human Resource
Management, Diploma in Taxation Law, MA History, MPhil Persian, MFA Sculpture,
BSc (Hons) Mycology & Plant Pathology, MPhil Pakistan Studies and MFA
In MA Human Resource Management (Semester System), Session
2003-2005, a total of 44 candidates appeared and 43 were declared successful
while the result of one candidate was late.
In Diploma in Taxation Law
(Final Result 1st and 2nd Semester), Session 2006-2007, a total of 27 candidates
appeared and 20 were declared successful while the results of two candidate were
In MA History (Semester System), Session 2005-2007, a total of
three candidates appeared and all were declared successful. In MPhil Persian
(Semester System), Session 2004-2006, only one candidate appeared under Roll No
14 who was declared successful. In MFA Sculpture (Fall 2007), Session 2007-2008,
a total of three candidates appeared and all were declared successful.
In BSc (Hons) Mycology & Plant Pathology, three-Year Programme
(Semester System), Session 2003-2006, only one candidate appeared under Roll No
MPPL03-19 and got success.
In MPhil Pakistan Studies (Semester System),
Session 2005-2007, only one candidate appeared under Roll No 6 and got success.
In MFA Graphic Arts (Semester System), Session 2007-2008, a total of three
candidates appeared and all were declared successful. The News

Lahore: The Islami Jamiat Tulaba on Tuesday organised a
conference in connection with the 14th anniversary of "Martyrs of the Punjab
