Result of SSC Part II General Group
Karachi, July 19: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) would declare the result of the General
Group, Secondary School Certificate (Part-II) Class X (Regular and Private),
Annual Examinations 2011, on Tuesday (today), Controller of Examinations, BSEK
Rafia Mallah said on Monday.
The result would be declared at 11am at the Conference Hall of the Board Office, she added.

BIEK rejects exam forms of four candidates
Karachi: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has cancelled the first year examination
forms of four candidates. This was announced by Chairman BIEK Prof Anwar Ahmed
Zai in a statement on Monday. He said that the forms of the candidates were
cancelled when the relevant board declared their matric certificates as
fake.
It said that the BIEK had approached the relevant board for determining the authenticity of the matric certificates.
Humanities practical exams from 25th: The practical examinations 2011 of Humanities (Regular) Part-I and II will start on July 25.
This announcement was made by the Controller of Examinations, Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), Muhammad Imran Khan Chisti, on Monday.

Karachi: The second semester at the University of Karachi
commenced on Monday after an inter-semester break of over a month's time,
faculty members said. They stated that a fewer classes were conducted on the

LLB exams from 26th
Karachi: The Annual Examinations 2011 of the LLB (Final) year will start on July 26,
according to a University of Karachi spokesman.
He said on Monday that the candidates could collect their admit cards and examination schedule from their colleges.
KU scientist awarded
Karachi: The Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) has awarded the TWAS Regional Prize for Young
Scientist to a scientist of the University of Karachi (KU), Dr Sammer Yousuf.
The award was given at an AFRO-ASIA workshop on 'Advanced Topics in Chemistry',
held between June 13 and 17 at the TWAS Regional Office for Central and South
Asia (TWAS-ROCASSA) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific
Research, Bangalore, India. Dr Yousuf was selected for this honour from over 30

Students seek scholarship
Umerkot: A large number of students of different universities took out a procession here on Monday in
protest against the district authorities refusal to pay them scholarship.
Talking to journalists Mansoor Ahmed and Gul Hassan said that over 500 students from Umerkot had applied for scholarships which was granted and an amount of Rs3 million was released from the treasury and lying in the account of district government since June 15.
Due to delaying tactics, the amount could not be released and later the Sindh government put a ban on it due to change in system.
They called upon the Sindh chief minister and finance department to defreeze the amount so that they could be paid scholarship. Dawn
