IBA completes admissions for 2007

KARACHI, July 25: The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) has completed the admissions for MBA, MBA-MIS, BBA and BCS degrees.

The final lists of successful candidates for MBA, BBA and BCS were posted online as well as at its main and city campuses on June 29 and July 16. Acceptance letters were immediately dispatched to the successful candidates.

Due to growing interest in business education and IBA's international recognition, the number of outstanding applicants is rising.

IBA has been increasing the number of students accepted in each programme annually according to the availability of qualified teachers. The number of students there has risen by 40 percent over the last five years, yet the ratio of acceptance is less than 10 percent.

In order to ensure a fair admission process, there is a firm no-exception policy to admit only those applicants listed in the original list of successful candidates which is solely based on merit.

If some of the accepted students do not join for any reason, their seats are still not offered to people whose names are absent from the list.

IBA plans to increase its enrolment by 80 percent over the next five years. New teachers are already being hired and trained to maintain IBA's reputation. App
