KU plans marks sheet with scanned photos

Karachi, June 8(The News): The University of Karachi (KU) has decided to prepare the marks sheet of degree examinations with a scanned photograph of the candidate to minimise the chances of forgery in the educational document.

The newly˝appointed Controller of Examinations Prof Maqsood Hussain informed the media persons about the new step on Thursday. He said that scanning of the photos of the candidates on the enrolment/registration cards had eradicated the forged cards. He said that the KU vice chancellor has instructed that coding and examining of copies of the answer books will be centralised to make it transparent. He also said that the results of the BSc annual exams-2006 would be announced on June 11.
