PU date sheets, results: UVAS new campus

B-Pharmacy date sheets
Lahore, March 12, 2008: The Punjab University on Tuesday issued date sheets for practical exams of B-Pharmacy and D-Pharmacy. The practical of B-Pharmacy, third professional 2007, will start from March 27 while practical for D-Pharmacy will start from March 24.

Results declared
Lahore: The Punjab University Examination Department declared results of various examinations on Tuesday. These exams are: MBA (Morning and Evening), semester system, session 2005-07, M Com (Morning and Evening), semester system, session 2005-07 and Diploma in Labour Laws, semester system, session 2006-07. The detailed results are available at the website www.pu.edu.pk.

Hafta-e-Taqreebat starts at PU
Lahore: The Hafta-e-Taqreebat, featuring different extra-curricular activities, being organised by the Punjab Universityís Institute of Communication Studies (ICS), has started at the universityís New Campus on Tuesday. ICS Director Prof Dr Mugheesuddin Sheikh inaugurated the event.

On the first day, Husn-e-Qiraat and Naíat Khawani competitions were held. In Husn-e-Qiraat competition, Beenish Malik got 1st position, Saeeda Kausar 2nd and Javed Lashari 3rd while in Naíat Khawani competition Sidra Hassan secured 1st position, Hafsa Javed 2nd and Beenish Malik secured 3rd.

In the chess competitions, Sumaira Afzal of BS Hons stood 1st while Sameera Khan attained 2nd position. In the badminton competitions, Ms Gull Khan, an M Phil student, got 1st position, Beenish Malik of MS and Haleema Amjad of BS Hons secured 3rd position. Cricket matches were also played among different teams.

Urdu, English and Punjabi debates and Mahfil-e-Mushaira will be conducted on 2nd, 3rd and 4th day of the Hafta-e-Taqreebat. The News

New campus of UVAS inaugurated
Lahore: Governor Punjab, Lt. Gen. Retd. Khalid Maqbool inaugurated Ravi Campus of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) at Pattoki today. Development works costing Rs.15 crore have been completed in this new campus of Veterinary University set up on 811 acres of land whereas development works costing rupees more than 60 crore are under completion. Livestock show was held on this occasion. Governor inspected the stalls. F.P Report
