Pakistani students for Chemistry Olympiad in Moscow

May 22(The News): Four Pakistani students will attend the 39th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) to be held in Moscow in July. Stem Career, a project of Higher Education Commission (HEC) has arranged this visit. According to a press release issued by the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), the students to attend the Olympiad include Shaina Khan and Shehzad Iqbal from Lahore, Anita Pabani from Karachi and Hamza Khan from Peshawar.

These students have been selected out of 550 students through contests and examinations held at the country level. The Coordinator to National Chemistry Talent Contest (NCTC) and the Secretary General Chemical Society of Pakistan, Dr Khalid said that Pakistan had obtained full membership of the International Chemistry Olympiad in 2005 in Taiwan.
