Governor to inaugurate 12 labs at GCU

FAISALABAD, Oct 24: Governor Punjab Lt General (Ret) Khalid Maqbool is expected to inaugurate 12 high tech laboratories to cater to the growing needs of students at Government College (GC) University here next month.

Colonel (Retd) Hamad Javed, Director Engineering and Computer Sciences Division said while addressing first orientation program on Engineering and Computer Sciences here Tuesday.

He said work was in full swing to set up multipurpose digital laboratories for the departments of telecommunication Engineering, Computer Sciences and Computer Engineering.

He said that an agreement has been inked with National Instrument Company US to set up telecom engineering, three computer sciences and as many general-purpose lab.

Colonel (Retd) Hamad Javed said that work has also been started on video conferencing room connectivity and wireless local area network and Higher Education Commission has provided funds for these projects. APP
