Raise in secondary board exam's fees

Karachi, Oct 24, 2007: The Board of Secondary School Education Karachi has raised examination and enrolment forms fees up to 35 percent, a notification issued on Tuesday said.

Increase in fees was inevitable as the high inflation rate forced the officials to enhance the fee structure as issues of promotion and up gradation of the staff was pending, said an official of the board.

With the enhancement, the examination fee of science group was raised up to Rs105 and that of humanity group to Rs90, said a notification. While Rs50 was increased in enrolment fees, earlier it was Rs100.

The notification further said that Rs5 was increased in another form raising the fees of forms to Rs15, from the existing fees of Rs10. The News
