Balochistan University Negligent teachers face action

QUETTA, Sept 18, 2007: A division bench of the Balochistan High Court has ordered the Balochistan University administration to initiate disciplinary action against the teachers who did not take classes regularly or had been appointed on political basis.

The bench comprising Chief Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani on Monday expressed dissatisfaction over compliance with the court's order regarding teachers recruited on the basis of favouritism in disregard to merit.

The court ordered the commandant of the campus peace corps not to allow outsiders on the premises of the university.

It asked the deputy inspector-general of police to deploy personnel to the Government Science College to prevent wall-chalking.
