IJT sees conspiracy in 'closed-door meeting'

Karachi, Sept 15: The Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) has alleged that besides the All-Pakistan Muttahida Students' Organisation (APMSO) the Sindh Governor and VC KU might be involved in a conspiracy resulting in the killing of four of the IJT activists.

An IJT spokesman said, the Sindh Governor and KU VC owed them a valid and plausible clarification as to what exactly had been transpired in the closed-door meeting between the two held at the VC office one day before the gory killing scene.

MQM rejects allegations: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has rejected the allegation of the Jamaat-e-Islami that the MQM was behind the killing of seven persons and said that the allegation was "highly deplorable." While addressing a press conference at the KPC, MQM, MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi and MPA Faisal Sabzwari, said that the killing was an act of terrorism and investigation into the incident was underway and the killers would be arrested very soon. Haider said that it was surprising and unfortunate that the JI, "within 15 minutes of the incident" blamed the MQM and added that this 'blame game should be stopped'. He said such dastardly acts of terrorism were aimed to disturb the peace of Karachi and derail development process. The News
