What is the criteria for MOHAP (Ministry of Health & Prevention) Specialist Doctors Examination?
Criteria for Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Internal Medicine, General Surgery:
- 1. The minimum requirements to qualify for the above exams are a Master Degree, PhD, Fellowship or Membership or its equivalent from a recognized academic institution. (Duration of study not less than 24 months).
- 2. For Post Graduate Diploma (Duration not less than 12 months) with a 3 years of experience after Diploma.
- 3. Specialists who do not qualify for the above are allowed to sit for the GP Examination, provided they satisfy the criteria for that Examination.
- 4. Physicians who have been discontinued from clinical practice more than two years are not eligible to apply to Ministry of Health.
- 5. Three years of experience is compulsory after Postgraduate Qualification. (only for Private Sector).
- 6. Log book for surgical specialty for minimum TWO years must be provided and attested by appropriate Health Authority from the country of origin.
- 7. The applicants will be given a chance of three times to attend the exam. Furthermore, the fourth chance of entering the exam will be after a year from the last examination date, however a certificate of six month clinical experience should be provided. In case of failure for the fourth time, the admission file will be cancelled.
- 8. All Qualifications and experience certificates must be attested and authenticated with approved seals from The Ministry of Foreign Affair in the country where the certificate has issued, UAE embassy/Council in the country of origin and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and according to the assets used in the Ministry.
- 9. Supported documents can ONLY be uploaded after the registration is verified and accepted.
In exam you must provide:
- 1. Proof of your identity (e.g. passport or national identity card) at exam hall. Second country nationals must produce a passport.
- 2. Curriculum Vitae.
- 3. Log Book for Surgical Specialties (Only for Obstetrics & Gynecology and General Surgery)
