CPSP offers fellowship training in 98 specialties and membership (MCPS) in 19, with FCPS training lasting four to five years depending on the specialty. The route has three stages: FCPS Part I to enter training, the Intermediate Module (IMM) in specialties that require it, and the FCPS Part II final exam at the end of training.
FCPS stages at a glance
- FCPS Part I: a computer-based entry exam in your chosen subject group: two papers of 100 single best answer MCQs, two hours each. It is held four times a year, and you may sit three sessions in any one year. Fee for January 2027: Rs. 25,050.
- Intermediate Module (IMM): taken after two years of training in specialties that require it: computer-based theory papers followed by a TOACS (task-oriented assessment of clinical skills). Fee: Rs. 15,050.
- FCPS Part II: the final exam after completing training (four years with all rotations for the major subjects): computer-based theory, then a TOACS and long and short cases held in Pakistan. Fee: Rs. 15,050.
