Sample questionSurgical Endodontics

An endodontist is discussing prognosis with a patient whose tooth 24 failed after a traditional apicoectomy with an amalgam root-end filling 10 years ago. The patient has read that a second operation has only about a 60% chance of success. A prospective clinical study by Song, Shin and Kim (2011) assessed endodontic micro-resurgery using modern microsurgical techniques and MTA or Super-EBA root-end fillings. What success rate did it report?

Built exam composure
Timed tests helped me stay calm and answer under pressure.

Calm under pressure
The questions on procedural errors like ledges, perforations and separated instruments were excellent. These are stressful situations clinically, so it was valuable to think them through calmly beforehand. The explanations on prevention and management were practical and clear.

Questions before you start

How does my Qbank dashboard work?

A dashboard is a place where you can create tests, analyze your performance and enjoy many other features. There are several tabs available at the Qbank dashboard menu, like;

  1. Welcome: This page shows your profile status, Qbank activity and other important details.
  2. My Profile: You can view your updated profile or make any changes if necessary.
  3. Create Test: You will be visiting this page every time you need to create your own test based upon the type of questions you need to practice with. There are several steps involved for creating a test.
    • Step 1: Select the subtopics defined under the tab of each topic for which you would like to create tests for.
    • Step 2: Select a test mode
    • Step 3: Select question mode
    • Step 4: Select questions difficulty level
      • All : This option will randomly create a test of your selected sub topics having questions with different difficulty levels as mentioned below.
      • Hard : This option will create a test of your selected sub topics having questions with hard difficulty level only.
      • Medium : This option will create a test of your selected sub topics having questions with medium difficulty level only.
      • Easy : This option will create a test of your selected sub topics having questions with easy difficulty level only.
    • Step 5:

Define number of questions which a test should contain. Although a single test can contain upto 500 questions but we suggest you to create test with less than 100 questions as you may face performance issues if your device (computer, tablet, mobile) is not sophisticated enough with required internal memory which should be minimum 1GB.

In the end, click at Create Test button to launch your created test in Qbank application.

  4. All Tests: This page will show archive of all your created tests. You can resume, analyze and review any test. You can also use search filters to refine your search for tests created within a specific time duration.
  5. Reports: Reports page contains comprehensive information regarding your performance during tests. This report is divided into sections like Test Wise, Topic Wise and Sub topic wise which will give you more details about your areas of weaknesses and strength.
  6. Prep Course: You can subscribe for related preparatory course from here (if any).
  7. Change Password: You can change your login credentials here.
  8. Notifications: Interface communicates with users via different kind of notifications sent using different platforms. You can simply enable or disable any notification option on this page.

With the best dashboard environment, you can subscribe for high yield questions for different medical licensing exams, such as of DHA, MOH, DOH/HAAD, OMSB, Saudi licensing exams and many others.

Who is eligible to sit the KDLE Endodontics exam?

Before subscribing, check that you meet the exam board's eligibility criteria:

  • Primary dental degree: A recognized BDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree from an accredited institution, plus a completed one-year internship.
  • Specialization in Endodontics: A recognized postgraduate qualification in Endodontics -- Master's, Diploma, or equivalent -- from an accredited institution.
  • Post-specialization clinical experience: MOH Kuwait does not publish a fixed specialist-experience figure publicly; general KDLE licensing (documented for the KDLE General Dentist licensing exam) is generally 5-6 years of post-internship clinical experience, and specialist applicants should confirm their own required years of endodontics experience directly with MOH Kuwait.
  • Confirmed Kuwait job offer: KDLE applications are employer-initiated only -- self-applications are not accepted. You need a confirmed job offer from a licensed Kuwait employer before your application can be submitted.
  • Valid license, Good Standing Certificate & verified documents: An active license to practice in your home country (or country of last employment), a recent Certificate of Good Standing, Kuwait Dental Association membership, and authenticated degree/experience certificates verified through MOH Kuwait's document review process.
How do I apply for the KDLE Endodontics exam?
  1. Secure a confirmed job offer from a Kuwait-based employer -- self-initiated KDLE applications are not accepted.
  2. Your employer submits your credentials (authenticated dental degree, postgraduate Endodontics qualification, experience certificates, passport/civil ID, Kuwait Dental Association membership, photos) to MOH Kuwait's Licensing Department.
  3. MOH Kuwait reviews your documents and verifies your qualifications for equivalency.
  4. Complete an interview and medical examination as part of the primary approval process.
  5. Once approved, schedule your computer-based written exam through Prometric.
  6. Pass the written exam (60%+) and complete any additional viva/oral component required for your specialist application track.
  7. Receive your KDLE result and, on passing, your Kuwait dental license -- valid for one year, after which continued practice or renewal requirements apply.
