Does ECFMG Certification Give MOHAP Exam Exemption?
Being a doctor, while applying for MOHAP(Ministry of Health and Prevention) exam, ECFMG(Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, USA) alone without passing USMLE Step 3 usually not sufficient for MOHAP Exam Exemption. USMLE Step 3 + ECFMG is usually accepted as a substitute for the MOHAP exam for General Practitioners. On the other hand, for Specialist/Consultant category, US Board certification can exempt you from written exam.
Can I directly get Consultant status with ECFMG?
No. Consultant designation depends on board certification as well as years of experience (usually 2+ years post-specialization).
I'm ECFMG certified, Do I still need DataFlow?
Yes. ECFMG certification help you to get exemption while applying for written Prometric exam, whereas MOHAP still require DataFlow PSV for consistency.
