UK Immigration Rules – PLAB exams
Doctors with the status of International Medical Graduates (IMGs), who are willing to work in the UK in NHS setup, will be required to apply for skilled worker visa, which has been replaced by Tier 2 work visa.
As a doctor coming to the UK to work in the NHS, you will require a Health and Care Worker visa, which is similar to Skilled Worker Visa, but. This has replaced what used to be called the Tier 2 work visa. But due to recent changes, healthcare workers such as doctors will not be able to bring dependent with them to UK. However, if your dependent still meets some eligibility requirements then he/she can visit or live with you through using study, work, or global talent visa categories in UK.
Healthcare professionals may stay for duration of five years in UK, as long as they continue to work as a healthcare professional, fulfill requirements on their certificate of sponsorship. They can also extend their duration of stay without limitations and can qualify for indefinite stay, after living in UK for a minimum of 5 years under the same visa category
A good preparation program for PLAB Part 1 and 2 will help you pass these exams.
