DHA DataFlow requirements Quick Summary
DHA DataFlow is the mandatory Primary Source Verification (PSV) process used by Dubai Health Authority to verify educational qualifications, licenses, and work experience of healthcare professionals applying for DHA licensing.
All healthcare professionals which may include doctors, pharmacists, nurses, as well as other allied health professionals, must undergo Primary Source Verification (PSV) through DataFlow as part of the licensure process. This verification ensures the authenticity of your educational and professional credentials.
Healthcare professionals including doctors, pharmacists and nurses must provide the following scanned documents for initial DHA DataFlow processing.
What are General Required Documents for DataFlow process?
- Medical / Educational degrees(e.g. MBBS, BDS, BSN, BPharm, Allied Health degree)
- Recognized Specialty certificate/degree (e.g. MD/MS, MDS, MSc, PhD, etc. - if applying for specialist/consultant title).
- Internship certificate
- Valid practice license in country of graduation and/or country of last employment.
- Evidence of all clinical experience or certificate(s) issued by the facility of practice and signed by the Human Resources Department, or Medical Director.
- Recent Good Standing Certificate (GSC) issued by the medical council/association from the country of last employment (Certificates are only valid for six (6) months from date of issue).
- Log book (for surgical specialties only).
- Valid Passport copy(not expiring atleast within next 6 to 8 months)
- Recent passport size with white background photograph
- Medical fitness test for candidates having 65 years of age or above
What is DataFlow process cost?
Typically, it may cost about AED 900-1500+. Each extra document may cost about AED 200-300.
How to upload documents correctly?
The uploaded educational, experience or other documents should be;
- Uploaded preferrably in PDF format
- Color scans
- Clear readable copies
- English translation required if documents are not in English
- Names must match passport
How long does the DHA DataFlow process take?
Typically, the verification process may take 30-45 working days. There may be uneven delays in case of any discrepancy.
What are common discrepancy/delay issues faced while doing DataFlow process?
- Documents may have unclear/blurry scans, mismatch in names, employment dates etc.
- Experience certificate without following standard format, like no letterhead is used, with official stamp, conflicting timeline or responsibilities etc.
- Good Standing Certificate (GSC) used with expired status or not issued by the official licensing authority.
- Sometime educational institutions or employer is non responsive to the DataFlow queries.
- Your Sheryan and DataFlow account is not linked or duplicate applications submitted by candidate using different emails.
- Logbook(for surgeons) is not in standard format.
- Degree duration may sometime raise issues, like for Pharmacists, BPharm degrees (with 3 years duration) may not be accepted; must be 4-year BPharm or PharmD.
Can same DataFlow be used for DOH or MOHAP?
Yes, you can use same DHA DataFlow flow report for different health authorities, i.e. DOH, MOHAP, KMLE, or other health authorities in Gulf countries. You will be required to pay additional transfer fee to the new health authority.
