What is DHA exam format?
Generally, DHA exam format for different health categories like, Physician, Dentist, Nursing, Pharmacist, Allied Health has some similar details like;
- Format: This is a CBT (Computer Based Testing) exam administered by Prometric testing service.
- Questions: MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) are presented with 4-5 answer choices with a single correct answer.
- MCQ Weightage: Each MCQ contains a similar marking weightage.
- Total MCQs: Total number of questions varies as per the health category you are applying for. Typically, it has 150 questions (for Physicians, Dentists, Nurses & Pharmacists) or 70-100 questions (for Technicians, Allied Health and others).
- Test Duration: It is subjected to the health category you are applying for. Typically, it is around 120 minutes (2 hours) to 165 minutes (2 hours and 45 minutes).
- Marking Approach: It has no negative marking, which means that you can attempt the whole exam without the fear of getting penalized for the wrong answer.
- Passing Score: It depends upon the health category you are applying for. Generally it is 60-70% (for GPs, General Dentists, Specialists & Consultants) and 55-60%(for Nursing, Pharmacists, Technicians, Allied Health).
- Total Attempts: Maximum 3 attempts allowed to pass this exam.
