Passing the DOH (HAAD) exam does not give you a licence on its own. An Abu Dhabi healthcare facility has to hire you and link you to its licence on TAMM, after which security clearance and licence issuance follow. After passing the DOH (Department of Health) Abu Dhabi exam you are about half way to working in Abu Dhabi. The other half is finding an employer, and nobody can do that for you or guarantee it. Why do you need an employer to get your DOH licence?
DOH licences are issued to professionals who are attached to a licensed facility in Abu Dhabi. When you pass, your TAMM application moves to the step where a facility must link you. DOH gives about 3 months for this step; if no facility links you, the application expires. That does not waste your exam: a DOH PASS stays valid for 5 years, subject to the qualification rules, so you can apply again later with the pass on record.
So start looking for work before your result, not after it. Many candidates begin applying once DOH approves them for the exam, and mention their exam date in their CV.
How to find a job after passing the DOH exam
What makes your application stand out?
Employers in Abu Dhabi want to know one thing first: how quickly can this person be licensed? Put your DOH status at the top of your CV: the title you were approved for, the date you passed (or your exam date), and that your DataFlow verification is complete. A recruiter who sees "DOH PASS, GP, PSV complete" knows you can start within weeks, not months.
After that, keep the CV short and clinical. List the departments you have worked in, the procedures you can do independently and any life support certificates (BLS, ACLS, PALS) that are current. Tailor each application to the facility. A family medicine clinic and a tertiary hospital want different things.

Do government hospitals hire directly or through agencies?
Both. SEHA, the Abu Dhabi government healthcare network, usually advertises on its own careers portal, but it also works with authorised recruitment agencies for some roles. If an agency contacts you about a government post, confirm the vacancy on the hospital's official site before you share documents.

Can I work in Dubai with a DOH licence?
Not directly. Dubai is licensed by DHA and the northern Emirates by MOHAP. You can apply to transfer, and the Unified PQR helps, but the other authority makes its own decision.
