MOHAP UAE exam for Obs Gyn. Exemptions
Specialist doctors for Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Obs-Gyn), who want to practice in Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain under Ministry of Health & Prevention (MOHAP) health authority jurisdiction, they must pass the related Prometric exam unless exempted through meeting exemption criteria depending on experience, qualification, as well as passing specific licensing exam. Applicant may get exemption if having recognized Board Certificates, such as:
- MRCOG (UK)
- FRCOG
- American Board in OB-GYN
- Canadian Board
- Australian/New Zealand Fellowship (RANZCOG)
- Arab Board (case-by-case)
- German Board (Facharzt)
- European Board (EBCOG)
Or having medical practice license from countries such as;
- UK
- USA
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Western Europe
Or having 5 to 8 years of specialty experience combined with a strong Obs & Gyn specialty qualification. Or have already passed the DHA / DOH OB-GYN Exam.
Does MOHAP require a logbook for Obs & Gyn exam?
Usually no, but MOHAP may request details such as C-section numbers, Laparoscopy cases, Assisted deliveries for verification purposes.
