What is DOH exam documentation
All healthcare professionals who are willing to apply for DOH (Department of Health) Abu Dhabi exam must follow the Registration Procedure to successfully apply for the exam.
Is DOH exam has Oral / Viva part?
The DOH(Department of Health) Abu Dhabi exam doesn't require Oral/Viva part for most of the healthcare categories(i.e.GPs, specialists, technicians, nurses and other allied health categories), it is a Pearson Vue written exam only. But, for some of the surgical specialities, DOH may still require you to sit for Oral/Viva beside passing written exam.
What is DOH exam exemption criteria?
Healthcare professionals may be exempted from written Pearson Vue exam if have valid license and meet some requirements, such as;
- For Doctors / Physicians:
- Holder of internationally recognized board certifications such as Royal College (UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand), American Board (ABMS), French MD/DES, German Facharzt specialization.
- Those who have passed licensing exam such USMLE (all Steps passed), PLAB, AMC, MCCQE
- For Dentists: Holder of internationally recognized dental specialty board such as American Board, Royal College, etc. or have passed dental licensing exams such as UK ORE or LDS.
- For Nurses: Holder of NCLEX-RN, UK NMC registration (for nurses) is also sometimes accepted.
- For Pharmacists: Holder of NAPLEX.
- For Allied Health Professionals: Holder of certain international licenses such as HCPC-UK, Australia, Canada, USA certifications.
