DOH/HAAD Pearson Vue written examination & Passing Score
DOH (Department of Health) Abu Dhabi which was previously known as HAAD, oversees written and oral / viva exams for different healthcare professionals. These exams have different passing score based upon the healthcare category you applied for. Like for Doctors, which may include general practitioners or specialists, candidate should target above 65% passing score. This passing score may vary depending upon low or high demand for the related healthcare professionals in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
How to register for DOH examination?
DOH Abu Dhabi Oral Examination (Viva)
After passing written Pearson Vue exam, some specialties (i.e. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, certain Consultant roles) may require to sit for oral exam. This Oral exam which may last 45 to 60 minutes, may consist of 6 or more clinical scenarios, including at least one ethical/legal case. Such scenarios may use clinical images, case data, radiographs, or de-identified records. Candidates must pass an oral component to be considered successful in the overall exam.
What If You Fail the DOH Exam?
- Ensure that this was not your last allowed attempt by DOH(Department Of Health) Abu Dhabi. A candidate is allowed to appear 3 times, after 3 failed attempts, a last chance is given by the health ministry that can taken after gaining some training after about one year.
- Although candidate is not given report breakup as per topics/subjects, but try to breakdown the grey areas that you may think could be the cause of this failure.
- Ensure that you have the related Study Material and know the Syllabus for your specialty exam before reapplying.
- Ensure that your DataFlow PSV is updated.
- Reapply for exam via Pearson Vue testing service.
What To Do When You PASS the DOH Exam?
After successfully passing the DOH Abu Dhabi exam, you will be issued an Eligibility Letter which can later be converted into a practicing license with the assistance of your potential employer.
