What is SMLE and who needs to pass it?
The Saudi Medical Licensing Exam(SMLE) is a mandatory exam to be taken by all Physicians who are willing to practice as General Practitioners(GPs) or enter a residency program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This exam is required by all foreign-trained doctors.This exam is conducted by Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
How to apply for SMLE?
Application process for SMLE(Saudi Medical Licensing Exam) is done through SCFHS(Saudi Commission for Health Specialties) based system called Mumaris Plus. Candidate is required to follow given registration steps;
- Required Documents: Candidate should prepare all required documents such as Passport & photograph, Degrees, Internship certificate, Experience certificate, Good Standing Certificate beforehand.
- Mumaris Plus Account: Create your account and upload required documents with the registration.
- Exam Classification Service: From your Mumaris Plus account, apply for 'Classification and Registration' services, upload all required documents and pay the fee.
- DataFlow PSV: For IMGs(International Medical Graduates), you will be redirected to DataFlow processing service to verify all your uploaded documents.
- Schedule Exam: Once with positive DataFlow PSV, candidate will be able to schedule Prometric exam and pay the fee 1,200 to 1,400 SAR through issued Eligibility id.
