A healthcare professional who has failed Dubai Health Authority (DHA) three times can generally NOT apply for the Dubai Health Authority(DHA) / Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi exam, but some exceptional conditions apply for further final attempt. Because as per the new PQR(Professional Qualification Requirements), if a healthcare professional fails 3 times in one health authority then he is generally not allowed to appear in another health authority across UAE, as all attempts are counted across the UAE authorities collectively.
What counts as an Attempt?
An attempt is generally counted when a healthcare :
- Appears for the Prometric exam.
- Completes and submits the exam.
Exam cancellation by yourself or by Prometric testing service before the exam, is not counted as an attempt. Similarly, exam eligibility expiration without taking the exam is also not counted towards an attempt. However, no show cases may still count depending on circumstances.
Is there a waiting period between attempts?
Normally, there is no long mandatory waiting period after failing the exam, candidates may rebook based on slot availability and eligibility validity. However, some professions/categories may receive recommendations for additional preparation before retaking.
Do questions repeat in further attempts?
Repeatation of the same question word by word is quiet rare, but some times;
