DHA Dubai Pharmacist exam Requirements & Eligibility Guide

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) exam for pharmacists is required to obtain a license to work as a pharmacist in Dubai. These are the list of general requirements needed while applying for DHA Dubai Pharmacist exam.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidate should;

• Have degree(B. Pharm/M.Pharm/PharmD etc) or Diploma in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy recognized in home country.
• Have Matric & Inter certificates / Mark-sheets / Transcripts.
• Have registration with the Pharmacy council of their home country.
• Have two (2) years experience certificate in retail or hospital pharmacy in private or government sector, signed by the Human Resources Department, or Director. Experience with pharmaceutical companies or sales representatives is not accepted
• Recent Good Standing Certificate (GSC) issued by the pharmacy council of your country of last employment (Certificates are only valid for six (6) months from date of issue).
• Have valid passport, not expiring within atleast eight (8) months from the time of starting application process.
• Have one (1) colored passport photograph.

How long is the DHA exam valid for pharmacists?

The DHA Dubai Pharmacist passing result will remain valid for 5 years after the passing date. After passing this period, if a candidate does not obtain a license then he/she will be required to retake the exam.

Can a pharmacist work in UAE after passing exam?

To be able to work in Dubai UAE, passing only DHA Pharmacist exam is not enough - you will be required to secure a DHA Pharmacist license under a DHA registered pharmacy/health facility.
