DHA Prometric Exam Cost Quick Summary
A DHA licence is paid in stages: DataFlow verification, the Prometric CBT (or a DHA oral assessment at AED 500 for physicians and dentists, AED 250 for nurses, allied staff and TCAM), the AED 200 Get Registered fee, and the licence itself, which costs AED 3,000 a year for physicians and dentists and AED 1,000 a year for nurses, midwives and allied professionals. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licence costs the same in DHA fees for a GP, a specialist and a consultant. What changes the total is how many documents DataFlow has to verify, whether your title sits a Prometric exam or an oral in Dubai, and how many attempts you need. What does a DHA licence cost, stage by stage?
You pay four or five separate bills, to three different organisations. The table shows each one with the figure DHA publishes today.

Stages 1 and 2 can run side by side. DHA itself says you may do DataFlow and the CBT in parallel, then apply for Get Registered with both results. The registration stays valid for one year, and in that year an employer has to activate it into a licence. DHA exam cost for Physicians (GP, specialist and consultant)
DHA does not charge a GP less than a consultant. The AED 200 registration and the physician licence band (AED 3,000 for one year) are the same for every physician title. Three things still make a specialist's bill bigger in practice:
- DataFlow: a specialist or consultant usually sends more documents (postgraduate certificate, training letters, several employers), and DataFlow prices by the number of documents.
- Exam mode: some specialist and consultant titles sit an oral assessment in Dubai instead of the CBT. The oral costs AED 500, plus your travel. Check yours on the DHA written or oral exam page.
- Exemption: holders of some recognised qualifications skip the assessment altogether, which saves the exam fee. The list is on DHA exam exemption criteria.
Older pages, including an earlier version of this one, listed a Prometric price of US$ 280 per specialty (US$ 220 for a few). Neither DHA nor Prometric publishes those figures today, so we have taken them out. Read the price on the Prometric booking screen before you pay. DHA exam cost for Dentists
Dentists pay exactly what physicians pay to DHA: AED 200 to register, AED 500 if DHA sends the title to an oral, and AED 3,000 for a one year licence (AED 5,000 for two years, AED 7,500 for three). A general dentist sits the CBT; for a dental specialty, Sheryan's Mode of Exam per Specialty tool shows whether it is CBT or oral. The Prometric fee is shown at booking, as for doctors.

DHA exam cost for Nurse and Midwives
Nurses and midwives sit in the lower DHA fee band. Registration is AED 200, an oral assessment (if required) is AED 250, and the licence is AED 1,000 for one year, AED 1,500 for two years or AED 2,500 for three. That makes nursing the cheapest DHA route in fixed fees, though DataFlow and Prometric are still added on top.

DHA exam cost for Allied Healthcare and Pharmacists
Pharmacists, physiotherapists, laboratory staff, radiographers, dietitians and other allied titles follow the same band as nurses: AED 200 to register, AED 250 for an oral where one applies, and AED 1,000 for a one year licence. What does a DHA exam retake cost?
Every attempt is a new booking with a new Prometric fee. Fees are not refunded if you miss the exam or cancel, and Prometric states a strict no-refund policy for DHA candidates, including illness and name mismatches. Make sure the name on your Prometric booking matches your passport exactly; that one mistake costs people a full fee.

Here is how the bill adds up for a GP applying from Pakistan or India and passing the CBT on the first attempt. Only DHA's own fees have a fixed number; the rest you will see when you pay.

If your employer pays the licence fee, which many do, your own DHA outlay drops to AED 200 plus DataFlow, Prometric and the Good Standing Certificate. Ask about this before you sign the offer.
