DHA Dentist Licensing - Qualification & Experience Requirements
The DHA (Dubai Health Authority) exam for General Dentist is designed for dentists who wish to practice general dentistry in Dubai. Below are the key eligibility requirements to sit for the DHA General Dentist Exam.
- Candidate should have successfully completed 5 years dental degree (i.e. BDS, DDS, DMD or its equivalent).
- Candidate should have completed one year internship/housejob after graduation.
- Candidate should have experience for atleast 2 years post internship/housejob.
What are Requirements for Specialist and Consultant Dentist?
- Candidate should have primary dental degree and Recognized Specialty Certificates not less than 2 years. Candidate is allocated based upon his/her experience from Tier 1 (no experience required) to Tier 3( three years experience required) for specialist and Tier 1 (2 years experience required) to Tier 2 (8 years experience required) for consultant.
- For Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialties, minimum of 4 years post graduate certificate is required.
- For Orthodontics, minimum 3 years postgraduate certificate is required.
- For specialist dentist who do not meet the experience requirements, a provisional license will be issued for the candidate by the name of 'Specialist Dentist Under Supervision'.
