The DOH(Department of Health)Abu Dhabi oversees this dermatology specialty exam conducted by Pearson Vue testing service worldwide. The exam content is designed to assess the core knowledge, clinical skills, and evidence based management as per international dermatology standards.
What are the topics/syllabus for DOH Dermatology exam?
Typically, the syllabus covers different related topics/subjects, such as;
- Skin anatomy, immunology, diagnostic modalities and other dermatology general principles.
- Bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic), eczema, psoriasis, acne, pigmentary disorders and other infections or inflammatory dermatoses.
- Lasers, cryotherapy, peels, injectables and other procedural or cosmetic dermatology.
- Pediatric dermatology.
- Benign & malignant tumors, melanoma, skin cancer screening
- Cutaneous manifestations of systemic disease, autoimmune or bullous diseases.

Is there an oral / viva exam for DOH Dermatology exam?
Generally there is no oral/viva exam after passing written MCQs exam. However, DOH may require oral/viva exam for consultant level or some other conditional cases.

"I have Masters degree from UK, and currently working as a Dermatologist in Riyadh KSA since 2 yrs, I already pass my Saudi council exam for health specialities. My total experience in dermatology is more than 12 yrs. My querry is do I need to sit in HAAD/DOH (Pearson vue) exam or I only need to give oral exam only.
