USMLE Steps passed. MOHAP exam exemptions
Doctors who have successfully passed USMLE all three steps and hold a valid ECFMG certification, may meet MOHAP Exemption Criteria and can apply for license without sitting for Prometric written test. This exemption process is not automatic, instead candidate has to apply and submit all documents, experience certificates, and a valid Good Standing Certificate.
Do USMLE holders also need UAE work experience?
Candidates who have passed USMLE steps and hold ECFMG certification may also need to fulfill clinical experience requirement based upon the applied health category,like;
- GPs: Candidate is required to have 2 years clinical experience after internship/house-job.
- Specialists: Candidate is required to have residency + 2 years experience post training.
- Consultants: Candidate is required to have fellowship + 2 to 5 years experience at consultant level
