MOHAP UAE Exam - Clinical Gap Policy
Healthcare professionals who are willing apply for MOHAP(Ministry of Health and Prevention) exam should fulfill Eligibility Criteria, and among them it is important to not to have more than 2 years non-practice gap. If the gap is 2 years or more, you must provide proof of continuous medical education (CME) or recent supervised practice / training.
What to do to cover clinical gap?
To be able to cover clinical gap while applying for MOHAP, DHA or DOH exam, candidate is required to fulfill certain requirements such as;
- CME/CPD Certificates: You will be required to show Continuous Medical Education(CME) 50-100 hours relevant to your health category/title. These CME hours can be completed by online accredited CME providers like Medscape, BMJ Learning, UpToDate, Cleveland Clinic CME, etc.
- Gap Explanation Letter: You need to prepare a letter addressing to the concerned health authority explaining why you had this gap, beside mentioning the exact reason you will also be required to attach related evidence in this regard.
- Refresher course/Observership: You can arrange 3 to 6 months clinical attachment in the UAE or in home country. Health facility/teaching centers can issue letters to cover the practice gap.
Candidate will be required to upload updated CME certificates beside positive DataFlow PSV report to the MOHAP portal to show continuity.
