MOH UAE General Practitioner (GP) Exam Eligibility & Application Guide
What is the criteria for MOH GP exam?
The healthcare professionals, specially General Practitioner (GP), who are willing to appear in Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) medical licensing exam which targets northern emirates such as Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah.
- 1- All the certificates for GP doctors must be granted by a universities recognized and recognized by the WHO listing.
- 2- The minimum requirements to be qualified for the exam are basic medicine degree from a recognized university or college. Furthermore, one year internship/housejob must be completed post graduation.
- 3- Candidate must have atleast two years clinical experience post internship/housejob.
- 4- Good Standing Certificate is required from the responsible Health Authority in the Country of Origin which issues the License.
- 5- GP who do not qualify as above, they will not be accepted to sit for GP exam.
- 6- In case of interruption or stoppage of practicing the work for a period of two years, the applicants will not be eligible to apply to the Ministry of Health exam.
- 7- The applicants will set for PROMETRIC ONLINE EXAM which is held worldwide. NO ORAL EXAM.
- 8- The candidates who did not meet the requirement of experience shall be evaluated with a lesser degree than the legally approved degree, to be re-evaluated after receiving the required expertise.
- 9- The mentioned requirements are MUST and should be applied with NO exceptions.
- 10- Supported documents can ONLY be uploaded after the registration is verified and accepted.
How many attempts are allowed for the MOH GP exam?
The applicants will be given a chance of three times attempts to attend the exam. Furthermore, the fourth chance of entering the exam will be after a year from the last examination date, however a certificate of clinical experience during the mentioned year should be provided. In case of failure for the fourth time, the admission file will be cancelled.

This is the step by step application process for MOH GP exam;
- Ensure you fulfill above defined eligibility criteria as GP.
- Create UAE Pass account.
- Create MOHAP account from MOHAP licensing web portal.
- Start DataFlow PSV application process.
- Apply for MOH exam evaluation process. Upload required documents and pay approximately AED 500.
- Receive Eligibility letter for appearing in MOH exam which typically remains valid for 6 months.
- Book Prometric exam and pay the fee USD 260–280.
- Apply for MOH license after successfully passing the exam.
